Tasmanian mountains are important part of the island’s national park named Cradle Mountain-Lake St Clair National Park..The park has displayed the 4 captivating peaks of Cradle Mountain, Smithies Peak, Weindorfers Tower, and Little Horn. However, the most impressive feature of the park is Cradle Mountain that is found by Joseph Fossey. The 308 738.405 acres mountain is indeed named because of its cradle-like form.

Gustave Weindorfer, the father of Tasmania’s tourism, developed the chalet to attract tourists and share the captivating wonder of the mountains. The mountains also offer shelter to several fauna which can be mainly found in the forest. Native wildlife which can be found in the mountain are rodents, pademelons, and possums.
